Stephen Amellhas landed the lead role inSuits LA.
TheArrowalum, 42, will take on the role of Ted Black in the highly anticipated spinoff series. According to an official description, Amell’s character is a “charismatic force of nature who puts his own needs above others.”
Amell tells PEOPLE of the new role: “I’m very excited. It’s something very new and different for me — talky-talky, not punchy-punchy.”

Amell is best known for his role as Green Arrow in CW’sArrow. The superhero series began in 2012 andconcludedin 2020 after eight seasons and 170 episodes, having spun out multiple other series includingThe Flash,Legends of Tomorrow,Supergirl,Black LightningandBatwoman.
More recently, the actor led the critically acclaimed STARZ seriesHeelsand will next be seen starring in the Netflix filmCode 8: Part II, which he also produced.

Under the direction of Victoria Mahoney, the show is scheduled to begin production in late March in Vancouver. If the pilot goes to series,Suits LAcould be released some time in the 2024–2025 season.
In addition to writing the pilot, Korsh will executive produce alongside formerSuitsEPs David Bartis, Doug Liman and Gene Klein.

At the 2024Golden Globes,Patrick J. Adams— who played Mike Ross for nine seasons in the USA Network series — toldEntertainment TonightduringVarietyandET’s Golden Globes 2024 pre-show that he would be open to reprising his role.
“If we got the phone call, if I got the phone call,I’m ready to suit up again,” he said. “I love the show, I love the character. And I loved working with all these people,” he added.
