artistic creation is for everyone — but not everyone enjoys going to an nontextual matter museum . That ’s why Paris ’s municipal museums , Paris Musées , of late created a newweb platformto make their vast assortment of painting , sculptures , and photographs digitally accessible to the public .
In accolade of the site ’s launching , Paris Musées brainstorm an art undertaking of their own , calledParallels . They collaborated with 10 well - known Instagram personalities to reanimate famous works from their collections using the popular social media platform . Their finish ? To make the artworks a little more accessible , a little more modern , and — dare we say it — a small more fun for contemporary interview .
“ Whether a photographer , way blogger , or a comedy YouTuber , each Instagrammer get on material from his or her own experiences to give tongue to his or her affinity for the original work or simply to re-explain it with a new twirl , ” the museum explained in a release .

The final result ? A serial publication of sweet , modern take on painting and photographs by artistsincludingCharlesNègre , François Boucher , and Amedeo Modigliani . The Instagram photos , which went on display yesterday , will be expose in the metropolis ’s Gare Saint - Lazare track place through July 31 , 2016 , and travelers can hint their own remakes of works by post them on the societal platform with the # ParallelesParisMusées hashtag .
