A rep for Lambert previously confirmed to PEOPLE that the pair’s nuptials happened a while ago.
Opening up about what led her to not only reveal her new relationship, but share that the pair had tied the knot, Lambert wrote that Valentine’s Day played a part in her decision.
“In honor of Valentine’s Day I wanted to share some news. I met the love of my life. And we got hitched!” Lambertwroteon Instagram Saturday, alongside two sweet photos from their wedding day.
“My heart is full. Thank you Brendan McLoughlin for loving me for…. me,” she continued, adding a red heart emoji and the sweet hashtag “theone.”
The source also tells PEOPLE the pairmet for the first timeon Friday, Nov. 2, when Lambert appeared with her Pistol Annies’ bandmatesAshley MonroeandAngaleena PresleyonGood Morning America.

The NYPD previously confirmed to PEOPLE that McLoughlin iscurrently assigned to the South Midtown Precinct, which includes the area where Lambert performed on theGMAstage.
Later that night, Lambert performed with the Pistol Annies at a concert in N.Y.C.’s The Town Hall, which is located just one block away from where the television show films.

McLoughlin, who’s been with the NYPD since 2013, has been known to work crowd control following concerts in the area.
In April of last year, one Twitter user messaged the NYPD after having seen McLoughlin outside Madison Square Garden and noting the officer’s good looks remarked, “if he’s single tell him to contact meLOL.”
Another 2015 tweet also shows a uniformed McLoughlinworking in Times Square.

For her happy day, Lambert wore an elegant long-sleeve lace dress fromLela Rose Bridal.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to see @mirandalambert in our ‘Canyon’ wedding dress,” read an Instagram post from the N.Y.C.-based designer, which was posted on Sunday alongside a pair of sweet images from Lambert’s happy day. “Such a beautiful bride!”
In an exclusive image Lambert shared with PEOPLE from their wedding, the gown’s romantic plunging neckline is also visible.

This is the second marriage for Lambert, who was previously married toBlake Shelton, before their divorce in 2015.
