Kelly Ripaprefers the classics when it comes to birthday cakes.
“I am so glad that you were born,”Consuelos said to his wife of 27 years.“It has changed my life tremendously.
“What would I be doing if you were not around? I’d be sad and lonely, probably in a monastery.”
“Yes, you always wanted to be living in a monastery,” Ripa laughed, adding that her October birth meant her parents conceived her around New Year’s Eve thanks to “lots of champagne.”
After some TMI about her conception, Ripa is presented with TMC: too much cake!
“Oh my gosh!” the mother of three exclaimed upon seeing the nostalgic Carvel treat shaped like a whale and covered in chocolate fudge. “This is a mega whale cake!”
“I know how much you love your famous Fudgie the Whale cake,” Consuelos replied. But even for an ice cream cake lover the dessert was too big for just two — so the cohosts decided to share the cake with the audience.

Consuelos kept the compliments coming even off the air and shared a sweet tribute to his wife onInstagram.
“Another trip around the sun for the heart and soul of our family,” he wrote in the caption as he shared a video montage of photos of Ripa and their family, including their daughter,Lola, 22, and sonsMichael, 26, andJoaquin, 20. “Happy birthday sexy ♥️♥️ we love you.”
Ripa commented on the post, “Thanks babe, i love you ❤️”
