Hidden away in a distant part of the San Francisco Bay Area , Google has a top - secret lab that ’s home to the future . It ’s called Google X and guess what ? Nobody make love for certain what happens in there .
TheNew York Times reportsthat Google X is home to all personal manner of exotic engineering and forward - thinking instauration . Which I ’m indisputable it is . But you do n’t have to read far to realize that , basically , nobody has the faintest mind what that involves .
“ Google X [ is ] the undercover lab where Google is tackle a tilt of 100 shoot - for - the - star ideas . In interview , a dozen masses discussed the tilt ; some influence at the lab or elsewhere at Google , and some have been briefed on the project . But none would mouth for attribution because Google is so secretive about the effort that many employees do not even lie with the science laboratory exists . ”

That does n’t mean we ca n’t take a stab at guessing what ’s going on , though . From what ’s been suppose so far , robots feature heavily at Google X. One rumor suggests that fleets of automaton could supervene upon the humans that snap street for Google Maps , another that they could be destined for homes and office , where they can attend with chores .
But that ’s irksome . More exciting is the theme that Google might put itsdriverless carsinto production . In the US . And then there ’s the long - hold dream of Google : space lift . In theory , that involves rocketless outer space change of location where multitude – well , inside some sort of vehicle – are towed along a cable anchored to Earth . If they ’re working on that at X , son is that exciting .
