In former December , Wisconsin ’s Department of Natural Resources removed terminology which asserted that humans are responsible for for climate variety from its website . The government site nowreads , “ As it has done throughout the C , the earth is locomote through a change . The reasons for this change at this finical time in the earth ’s long account are being debated . ”
( It ’s not . )
Formerly titled“Climate Change and Wisconsin ’s Great Lakes,”the page on the web site used to correctly assert that “ human activities that increase heat – trapping ( ‘ green house ’ ) gas are the main cause ” of clime change . The Wisconsin DNR also deletedtwootherpages from its land site with information about climate change .

The Sir Frederick Handley Page used to include a link to aclimate change activity guidefor center and high school students , which has also been remove . delete the education guides from the site is especially menacing — how are we going to learn the next generation how to care for our earth if our government activity does n’t want them to know what ’s actually pass ?
A DNR spokesman told theMilwaukee Journal Sentinel :
[ The ] updated pageboy chew over our positioning on this topic that we have communicate for years , that our way regularly must respond to a motley of environmental and human stressors from drouth , flooding , twist events to changing demographics … .

As you know the drive and consequence of any changes in climate are still being debated and research on the subject is being done in academic circuit outside DNR .
While worrisome , the DNR ’s decision to off exact literature about climate change from its website is n’t too surprising . When Wisconsin ’s governor Scott Walker carry for the Republican presidential nomination , he was called“the most dangerous candidate on mood change . ”
2017 is looks more bleak than ever .
