Every twelvemonth , the RoboGames come to San Francisco in a ardent flare-up of war robots who duel to the decease in a serial of cage matches . But RoboGames is about more than wipe out . It ’s also about robotic and energising artwork , as well as robots who can pass tests of science by playing games or even dancing .
And this year RoboGames is celebrating the esthetic side of automaton by having an art exposition devote to robotic and energizing artistic creation . The conservator of the expo come from the amazing team who brought you theSWARM robots(pictured above ) . Marnia Johnson from SWARM happen along this call for art :

The expo will take place during the ROBOGAMES event from June 12th – 14th at Fort Mason in San Francisco , CA . first step nighttime is Friday June 12th
The ROBOGAMES Art Exhibition will show case the esthetic quality that are potential in robotic and energizing artwork . Some examples of what we are looking for are : static sculpture , kinetic carving , bar - tending robots , melodious robots , robot that rouge , works of industrial art and any works that incorporate or look like they integrate mechanical or technological attributes .
Radio control kit and caboodle and pyro - kinetic works are also encouraged to hold . Pyro - kinetic works will be for show only but may perform opening nighttime . Please include power requirement , radio receiver , or RC frequency , performance space and a tentative execution schedule ( for energizing works . For good example : 10’x10′ space with one hour performances doubly a day ) .
The artist will be responsible for the transport of their artwork to and from the exhibition . creative person will also be responsible for any and all supplies and change of location expenses . ROBOGAMES can provide service with transportation monetary value depend on need . The ROBOGAMES Art Exhibition open call will run until May 8th 2009 .
