Czech archaeologists have discovered a 4,500 - class - one-time grave of a Pharaonic princess named Shert Nebti just to the south of Cairo . The ancient burial website , which is locate at the Abu Sir complex near the famed footstep Great Pyramid of Saqqara , is surrounded by the tomb of four high officials from the Fifth Dynasty date stamp to around 2,500 BC . And excitingly , archaeologists now surmise that the field contains other sites just waiting to be unearth .
Mohammed El - Bialy , who heads the Egyptian and Greco - Roman Antiquities department at the Antiquities Ministry , noted that inscription on the four limestone column of the Princess ’ tomb point that she is the girl of King Men Salbo .
The current dig has also unearth an anteroom containing the sarcophagus of the four officials and statues of Isle of Man , womanhood , and a small fry .
