It ’s been a ten since Tony Stark and Steve Rogers came to gust over the struggle between freedom and security in the original Civil War comical series , but Marvel ’s continuation , due out this May , takes place in a very dissimilar time and place for Marvel ’s heroes . Here ’s what you need to know .
It Starts With a Bang

Named Ulysses , the unseasoned man seemingly only recently awakened his Inhuman exponent before the result of Civil War II . “ He was on a pretty traditional route on America , and something happened that completely derailed his life — and that ’s becoming an Inhuman . … This is someone who had a specific view of the superhero community , and then is push up right in the center of it in a very controversial and dividing agency , ” Bendis added .
And we know just how dividing that is alread ; Ulysses ’ second-sighted power splits the get together Italian sandwich on just how they should be used . Carol Danvers think they should be exploited so heroes can barricade crimes and life - threaten event before they even happen , but Tony Stark — who ’s grown a lot since his unpopular position about superhero regularization in the original Civil War — believes that no one has the right wing to pursue guiltless mass for a criminal act they ’ll supposedly commit in the future . “ We were let the cat out of the bag about things that were going on in the mankind today that are similarly part to our culture , which is very different from where we were 10 years ago with the original Civil War , ” Bendis continued .
The Teams Aren’t Definitive

Suffice to say , some fans were particularly confused about certain grapheme ’s alliance — like Steve Rogers and She - Hulk being on a side that push pre - penalization — but Brevoort was prompt to observe that the art “ [ was n’t ] intend to be definitive ” , but instead “ intended to encapsulate the whole of the Marvel Universe , ” before noting that characters will change side back and forth over the form of the series , just as role did in the original Civil War .
