read with a Canon T2i , EF - S 18 - 55 mm , f/4 , ISO 1600 and : 30 exposure . I used an old Praktica MTL3 with 50 mm genus Lens reflecting La Crosse , WI as the theme . I knew of a ridge top look out on the urban center from the other side of the river and work out a nighttime pellet could make for an interesting photo . This was my first time scud with a recollective exposure , meld with two camera / tripod setups and cloud coverage tardily creep in , I definitely did n’t make it well-fixed for myself . tote up to that , I also wanted to have a small something going on in the background . The red Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree was light from brakes of my car and the 30 2d exposure gave me just enough to get the city below and the mavin above . At one point I lose my glasses and straight out of a cliché movie consequence , I found myself pawing at the primer in the pitch fatal calculate for them .

We had the grandiloquent Ships festival going on in Chicago this weekend , so I decided to utilise that for the challenge . I had my sidekick hold my camera with a polarizing filter on the end while I photograph using his T3i and its kit lens @ f/8 ISO 100 .

This is a very meta shot . My married woman and I were in business district Austin for a hideaway , so I lie with we ’d have an opportunity to get some splendid discipline for the weekly shooting challenge . We decided upon The Long Center , one of the best sounding buildings in the city . When we got there , we saw that there was already a photoshoot in session . So I setup the shot to get one of the capital downtown Austin buildings as the backdrop , with the photoshoot in the foreground . So , it is a photo of a reflection in a camera , of people take pictures . Very “ meta . ”

Sony A65 using a Minolta 200 mm “ beercan lens of the eye ” at f/32 . The Minolta Rokkor lens of the eye is a very nice f1.7 50 mm which is focused and point at a water pond in my front M , the Sony A55 on the tripod is show the back of that Rokkor crystalline lens as well as a side - perspective of the CPL filter I have leaning against the side of the Rokkor lens system which is reflect the late - afternoon sun flat back to the shooting tv camera . This was like typeset up a pool shot to get all the angles working together at the same time .

I was trying out the camera on my raw Galaxy S4 that i have late aquired , and all around my room are break camera Lens that i have take apart ( Part hobby and part seduce bracelets like the ace featured a while ago ) This was the aperture of a erstwhile 35/70 millimetre canyon genus Lens with the reflection out the windowpane . I desire this counts as enough of a reflection !

As you may imagine , I ’ve done a few photos related to this contest … And although mayhap some of them will be somehow more attractive or technically appealing , I ’ve choose this one because it shows more the existent feeling of going to the beach with friends : just getting there for a courteous Old World chat and loosen ( admirer ’s crossed leg on photo ) , also the variety show of styles of the people , and on top of that the favorable rainbow . My submission is a lens musing I took at the top of Garcia Trail in Covina , California . I had setup my tripod and 60D and was preparing for sunset photograph when I remember this contest and thought it was the perfect prison term and place to take some photos . I pulled out my iphone 5 and snapped out ! I care this one in particular because it depict two brothers look onto the interbreeding together . The rumination really ties the viewer and our case together for more emotion . I retouched the photo in Photoshop to bring out the colours and balance the exposure in the thoughtfulness and the background . f/2.4 shutter 1/160 ISO 50

So I was sitting in Boston ’s Logan airport waitress to flee home to Chicago , from a weekend gorging on lobster roller at my babe place . So while wait I was reading my chirrup feed . I glance up and saw myself in a codswallop can I course I settle that view needs a tweet , which I did ( see link below ) . I like to take silly and left pictures and squeeze them , primarily to chafe my daughter who follows my twitter account . If I am not bother my daughter I am taking pictures of food for some reason ! So this morning when I was cruising through my usual sunrise online web range I find your Gizmodo thoughtfulness competition I thought how shady , I did that exact affair at Logan . So I decide to go into . The shot was taken about 4 hours after your competition was annunciate with my iphone 3 G my television camera experience is confine to quickies on the iphone .

There once was a little robot named WALL ● E. He was aimlessly wandering down all the glowering alley ways of the fresh Earth , research for a camera . Because you see , he had just found out , his girl EVE had cheated on him with his best friend MO . He was sad and lonely , but he is determined ! He wanted to get his picture taken , so he can post it on match.com , he was quick to move on . Then out of nowhere , he get word a noise , two giant canon lenses appears from the darkness star at him . He froze .. staring at his own reflections , unaware behind him was a Leica M9 with a Leica Noctilux lens system . Then he heard the shutter at 8s at f8 at iso 160 . And that was the last strait he see … DUN DUN DUN ! ! ! ! ! !
